Going Down Memory Lane

Every year we take time off to acknowledge and inspire women to recognise their true potential. We need to take time and support one another. You know who you are. We hope that in some small way you would realise that in supporting one another we can each remove our limiting belief pattern. Here is a clip of last year's celebration of International Women's Day.

About us

History Of Inter Club of Trinidad and Tobago

The Inter Club was founded in 1984 by Lorraine Roshevel, whose husband was stationed in Trinidad at the time as the Manager of the Hilton Hotel. This group now comprises of Presidents of ten women’s organizations in Trinidad and Tobago. These clubs are as follows: African Women's Club, American Women's Club,Brahma Kumaris Women's Group, Indian Women's Group, Inner Wheel Club of St. Augustine, National Muslim Women's Group Soroptimist International of St Augustine, Petroleum Women's Club Syrian/Lebanese Women's Club, U.K. Women's Club and the  Women's Organisation For The Underpriviledged (WOUP). In 2001, it was felt that this Club should join other women worldwide “Interclub of Trinidad and Tobago” by having an event to mark International Women’s Day. This year we are very fortunate to be Friends of Radio 103.5                HeartBeat for Women

Objectives of the Club

Our Club was born to inspire and motivate women to reach their full potential. We celebrate women and would like to empower them to know that self-care is not selfish and that she has to take care of herself first so she can be there for others.
We encourage her to recognize that she is always learning and growing. She may have an idea where she wants to go and is looking for ways to get there. She makes a difference in the lives of those around her. She may be an entrepreneur, a corporate executive, a stay at home mom, an artist, a college friend, a volunteer or a retiree. But whatever women are doing, they should do it with passion, joy and commitment.

Meetings

We meet regularly as needed to plan this annual event. By doing so we are able to support each other within our own individual club’s framework.

Charitable Projects

Our event is not about fundraising but is more a social club. Nevertheless within our individual clubs we are charitable organizations touching the lives of people in our society. However during our annual event, we would identify one charitable project. Last year, our Club assisted a blind couple to build a fence around their home.
